Reference Collection
A reference collection is a collection of objects maintained for the purpose of study and authentication. Reference collections are generally large undertakings maintained by institutions
1. A dictionary is a collection of words in one or more specific languages, often listed alphabetically, with usage information, definitions, etymologies, phonetics, pronunciations, and other information;
or a book of words in one language with their equivalents in another
2. An encyclopedia is a type of reference work, a compendium holding a summary of information from either all branches of knowledge or a particular branch of knowledge
3. Biographical dictionaries is a type of encyclopedic dictionary limited to biographical information – have been written in many languages. Many attempt to cover the major personalities of a country
4. Directory is a list of name of residents, organizations, or firms in a city, region, country of internationally, providing various details' e.g. addresses, profession or trade
5. Atlas is a volume of maps or charts with or without explanations.
6. A gazetteer is a geographical dictionary or directory, an important reference for information about places and place names, used in conjunction with a map or a full atlas
7. A yearbook also known as an annual, is a book to record, highlight, and commemorate the past year of a school or a book published annually
8. An almanac is an annual publication that includes information such as weather forecasts, farmers' planting dates, and tide tables, containing tabular information in a particular field or fields often arranged according to the calendar etc.
9. Manual is a book of instruction on doing, making, or performing something.
10. A handbook is a type of reference work, or other collection of instructions, that is intended to provide ready reference
11. Bibliography (from Greek βιβλιογραφία, bibliographia, literally "book writing"), as a practice, is the academic study of books as physical, cultural objects
